Normally Parish News is delivered free to all residents of the Parishes of Gestingthorpe, Great and Little Maplestead and Pebmarsh, by volunteers. Most volunteers deliver 10 to 15 magazines near their homes. New volunteers are always welcome.

The TravelEssex unit of Essex County Council are conducting a survey to better understand public opinion of the bus services in Essex.
Everyone is being encouraged to share their views on how bus services can be improved to encourage more people to use buses.

Volunteers Required
Due to the high incidence of vehicles speeding through the village and the considerable danger that this poses to the residents, the Parish Council are considering undertaking a Community Speed Watch. This would involve volunteers monitoring the speed of vehicles at various points in the village.
Therefore if anyone is interested in volunteering to assist with the Speed Watch could they please contact Peter Collett.
